So sind die Weiber : Posse mit Gesang und Tanz in drei Akten und sieben Bildern, ca. 1860s, 1873-1878.

Materials related to rehearsal and performance, including a published copy (Berlin: Theater-Commissions-Geschäft von H. Michaelson, n.d.; "Den Bühnen gegenüber als Manuscript gedruckt"), which has been annotated as a prompt-book; a handwritten scenario; a handwritten item (poem) that served as a prop; and 17 handwritten role books, for the following parts: Fräulein Eudoria Habicht, Pensions-Vorsteherin; Leopold Goldmann, Rentier aus Luckenwalde; Theodor Goldman, Maler; Joseph Leiser, Handelsmann; Doris von Seele, Jenny, and Magdalene (Pensionärinnen); Helene Gutke, Chambregarni-Vermieterin; Gierig, Lohndiener; Frau von Seele, Wittwe; Schlichtfuchs; Rosalie Rosmarin, Figurantin und Tanzlehrerin; Christian Plaschke; Herr Zucker; Herr Heimchen; die Direktorin; and die Geheimräthin. (The role books appear to be complete as the play was performed, with the omission of 4 additional female characters described as Pensionärinnen.) The published copy, which probably dates from no later than the 1860s, is labeled by hand as the property of Theodor Bloch, who was active in German-language theater in Philadelphia, first as an actor and later as a prompter, from 1873 until at least the mid 1890s, and who also ran a theater lending library. Names of actors and actresses noted on the covers of role books reflect two casts that performed in Philadelphia, mostly likely one in 1878 and another earlier, in 1873-1875. (The collection's holdings of theater newspapers and playbills contain no reference to this play.)
